I'm Erica Cooper, a pop singer-songwriter and vocal coach. I write and release my own original music (available on Spotify), studied music at Cornish College of the Arts, and have spent the past four years working alongside a professional producer, learning modern vocal production, pop arrangement, and songwriting from the inside out.
My goal isn't to help you sound like someone else. It's to help you discover your own voice and give you the tools to turn your ideas into songs you're proud of.

2. Learn How Pop Songs Are Written
In weekly one-on-one lessons, you'll learn the building blocks behind today's pop music while developing your own creative style.
Together we'll explore:
Pop chord progressions
Melody writing
Honest, memorable lyrics
Song structure (verse, chorus, bridge, hook)
Creative songwriting exercises
Editing and strengthening your songs
Finding your unique artistic voice
Every lesson is practical, creative, and focused on helping you make steady progress on your own music.
3. Finish Your First Original Song
One of the most exciting moments is hearing something that began as a simple idea become a complete song.
Over time, you'll write and finish an original piece that's uniquely yours. Along the way, you'll build musical skills, creative confidence, and a deeper understanding of how great songs come together.
4. Record Your Song (Optional)
When you're ready, you can take your song into a professional recording studio.
I offer an optional full studio recording day in Issaquah with a professional producer.
You'll experience:
Recording your vocals in a professional studio
Vocal coaching throughout the session
Learning how pop vocals are layered and produced
Seeing the recording process from start to finish
For many students, this is an unforgettable experience and a wonderful way to celebrate finishing their first original song.
